They say that Scottisch weddings are the most fun. This was certainly true for Lorraine and Richard's wedding at the beautiful Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Camps Bay this September (2015). The weatherman had predicted Scottish weather too - which is always a little challenging for us when planning entertainment for an outdoor ceremony.

However, the afternoon sun started peeking through just in time for the couple to exchange their vows in the scenic Fynbos Gardens overlooking the Atlantic ocean. The Top wedding Singer Duo added lots of warmth with renditions of classic swing tunes like "What A Wonderful World", "Come Fly With Me" and "Cheek To Cheek" (see video with crooner Ike Moriz and saxophonist W.van Zyl further below).

While the guests - many of them dressed in traditional Scottish outfits - were enjoying a cocktail with the happy married couple, our team had set up the sound system for the next location: The Marquee. But before being gently chased away from the gardens by a slight drizzle of rain, we enjoyed entertaining the wedding party until the last possible second.

The early evening was then spent in the beautifully decorated Marquee where I had the honor of being the Master of Ceremonies. Just after the starters had been served and thoroughly enjoyed, it was time for 3 heartfelt, touching and very amusing speeches by the father of the bride, the best man and the groom. The authentic Scottish accent and down-to-earth humour were simply awesome and set the scene for a night of joy and laughter.

During dinner and dessert we played uplifting atmospheric music ranging from 'latin' to 'lounge' and 'easy listening'. Time for cutting the cake!

At this point the party was ready to move to the next level - and we literally moved to the third and last location of the night: The Lion's Head Room - where TWS DJ was set up and ready to go at the arrival.

We played a wide range of fun music in line with the wish-list of the happy couple as well as a hand-picked selection of our wide collection of party tracks. One of the highlights in between tracks of 90's UK rock and the latest Katie Perry- and David Guetta mixes, was a section of traditional Scottish dances. It was absolutely amazing to see so many participate and dance their heels off.

The Proclaimer's hit "500 miles" had to be part of the evening, of course. The big finale was also a traditional Scottish song that is usually played at the end of Scottish weddings: "Loch Lomond" by Runrig. What a party, what a day! Top Wedding Singer Duo, MC and DJ were proud to be a part of it! It was a pleasure to work with in-house coordinators Willem and Laura and the rest of the team at 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa.
